In 2003, when employment opportunities and futures were looking grim and companies were laying employees off by the hundreds, a worried Xerox employee had to find another way to secure a future for his family. And so, inspired by the famous hamburger-eating Popeye character, Wimpy's Burger Basket was born.

Located in the heart of Gates, just seconds from Tinseltown Movie Theater, Wimpy's opened its doors in the fall of 2003 offering Gates and surrounding towns a clean, fun, and friendly environment where they could sink their teeth into some delicious foods. Open until the early hours of the morning, Wimpy's provides locals with a menu that is sure to cure their late-night cravings.
